Film/Comedy – This Is Spinal Injury is a mockumentary comedy featuring Dan Hurwitz and Kayla Brown as they attempt to put on the greatest, most accessible, yet simultaneously least commercially-viable comedy show featuring comedians with disabilities in the history of the Pacific Northwest.

Performer Bios
Kayla Brown
Kayla Brown (she/her) is a Seattle-based disability activist who sometimes tells jokes on stage. She is a co-producer of The Disabled List, a comedy show series featuring local comedians with disabilities. Kayla also co-produced This Is Spinal Injury, a documentary comedy about planning a comedy show during the pandemic. In her free time, Kayla likes to take down the patriarchy and walk her corgi, sometimes simultaneously.
Dan Hurwitz
Dan Hurwitz is a stand-up comedian who has been performing in Seattle since 2017. In 2018, he began co-producing The Disabled List, a monthly comedy show featuring local comedians with disabilities. He co-produced a film, This Is Spinal Injury, which just finished screening at Northwest Film Forum’s Local Sightings Film Festival . Dan was a semifinalist for the Standup NBC national comedy competition in 2018.
