CAST AND CREW ANNOUNCED FOR
HOLIDAY OF ERRORS
Sound Theatre Company is pleased to announce the full cast and crew of its first-ever holiday production, Holiday of Errors (or Much Ado About Stockings).
Holiday of Errors is a world-premiere comedy by local playwrights Frank Lawler and Daniel Flint, produced in partnership with One Lump or Two Productions and directed by Sound Theatre Company’s Artistic Director, Teresa Thuman. In the sly spirit of Black Adder and Shakespeare in Love, the play is a merry, irreverent send-up that mashes Twelfth Night, Richard III, and A Christmas Carol with historical inaccuracies and slanderous fabrications into an Elizabethan pudding that serves everyone!
Frank Lawler, the co-author of this original work, takes on the role of Will Shakespeare. A Sound Theatre Company member of long standing, Lawler was seen as Henry Higgins in Pygmalion and as Matamore in The Illusion. Locally, he has worked with ACT Theatre, Book-It Repertory Theatre, Strawberry Theatre Workshop, Seattle Public Theater, ArtsWest, Harlequin Productions, Seattle Shakespeare Company, The Capitol Hill Arts Center, and Theater Schmeater.
Elinor Gunn (Dogg’s Hamlet, The Illusion) returns to Sound Theatre Company as Queen Elizabeth, following her successful run in Sugar Daddies at ACT Theatre under the direction of Sir Alan Ayckbourn.
Newcomer to Seattle and veteran member of the Cincinnnati Shakespeare Company Ian Bond plays the puritanical Sir Christopher Hatton.
Among the many Sound Theatre Company veterans in the cast, Matt Fulbright (The Wild Party, Dogg’s Hamlet, The Illusion) plays Shakespeare’s actor partner Dick Burbage, Daniel Stoltenberg (Pygmalion) plays Marlowe, Luke S. Walker (Dogg’s Hamlet, The Compleat Works of Shakespeare, Abridged) plays Eddie de Vere, and Marianna de Fazio (The Foreigner) plays Charlie. New to Sound Theatre are Justin Lynn, Terry Boyd, and Damien Charboneau.
Set and lighting design are by the Gypsy Award-recognized Richard Schaefer, and sound design is by Josh Blaisdell, with original music composition by Jesse Smith. Costume designs are by Justine Wright and prop designs are by Max Pagel.
Holiday of Errors opens on December 6 for a limited run at the Center Theatre at the Seattle Center Armory, 305 Harrison St. The play has mild innuendo, but is otherwise appropriate for all audiences.
