With humor, heartbreak, and hope, Paul’s remarkable experience speaks to the power of one voice to inspire many. Celebrating LGBTQIA+ identity and the transformational potential of community action, Paul for Pete is both a love letter to the theatre and a rallying cry for a brighter future… for democracy as a participatory sport.

Named for the late Indigenous and Disabled playwright, this residency celebrates the power of storytelling to challenge and transform. Through a national search, Sound Theatre will select a playwright whose work explores innovative modes of performance and compelling narratives. This year-long residency offers audiences the chance to witness the birth of revolutionary art that redefines the stage. Join us in supporting this vital initiative that nourishes the soul of theatre itself.
